$12 per class or 4 for $40.Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese, defensive martial art, now practiced primarily for its health and exercise benefits. Tai Chi will help the practitioner achieve better strength and balance and is, therefore, especially helpful to people as they age. It does not require a lot of exertion to practice, as all of the moves done by beginners are slow and gentle.
The beginning student will learn one or two moves in each class. The moves connect smoothly and gently together into an artful form that, over time, will increase a person's stamina, balance, strength, and vigor. It is truly fun, and not arduous, unlike many other forms of exercise.
Joseph Bergin has practiced Yang Style Tai Chi since 2004. He studies with Martha Cheo who has practiced for over 20 years and taught for many years as well.
You should wear comfortable, non-binding clothing. Flat-bottomed shoes are best, but not required. $12 per class or 4 for $40

ALL LEVELS WELCOME. COME AS YOU ARE.
Matt uses stringed and flute instruments over a drone to set the mood and to respond to and guide the ebb and flow of the class. It's an incredibly unique experience taylored to emphasize community and connectedness.
Set donations of $5-15. Tips can be given directly to the musician.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign in.
Class is followed by a reception in our back studio where you can drink, snack, and commune with staff and classmates. We highly encourage you to stay and chat!
