Food Dehydration Class at Gardiner Library

Put on by Cornell Cooperative Extension The cost of the class is $35, with a portion of these proceeds going to the library. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday September 20. The class will demonstrate how to shake up meals all year using home dehydrated foods for snacks, flavoring, and meals. Participants will learn which dehydrator is right for them and how to make great gifts for foodies and other friends. Food dehydration is a fun activity to do with family and friends.

The instructor is Janie Greenwald, Nutrition Educator for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County. Janie has over 25 years of experience as a professional cook and enjoys getting people out of food ruts that are so common to many.
